Many residents within aged care facilities across Queensland face social isolation and loneliness. It is common they find themselves encountering fewer social settings, therefore making them dependent on the community around them, for organised activities.
HOW CAN YOUR TEAM MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Your team's visit to Symes Grove Residential Aged Care in Taigum will brighten up their daily routine, contributing to their mental and physical well-being. Social inclusion fosters happiness, purpose, and life satisfaction.
During this corporate volunteering opportunity, you'll have the chance to engage with seniors, share stories over morning tea, and participate in various activities like crafts, bingo, or a music hall concert.
Requirements
**PLEASE WEAR:**
- Comfortable closed in shoes
- Rio Tinto shirt (will be provided to you on the day)
**TRANSPORT**
- Transport will be provided upon request and organised by Volunteering Queensland.
- Those who wish to make their own way to the location, parking information will be
given closer to the event day.
**TERMS OF PARTICIPATION:**
Your safety is our priority. By registering for a team volunteering day, you acknowledge that if you are feeling unwell, you will notify your Team Lead and stay at home.
Team members will be required to read a Job Hazard Analysis and Run Sheet prior to the team day. This will be sent to you by Volunteering Queensland.
