About this opportunity

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TEAM OPPORTUNITY ONLY- YOU MUST HAVE A TEAM AVAILABLE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

The Salvation Army provides a large array of spiritual and social services throughout Western Australia. The community lunch is an opportunity for anyone from the local community to come to a safe and welcoming environment and enjoy a delicious nutritious meal. Especially those who are the least fortunate and most vulnerable. Homelessness, addiction and mental illness often leave people alienated from the communities in which they live. The Salvation Army aims to provide opportunities for people to connect with and feel part of a community.

HOW CAN YOU HELP? Salvation Army require support of a volunteer team on Friday 31 March 2023 in their community kitchen in Northbridge.

Your team will need to prepare a two course meal (main and dessert) to cater to 80 to 100 people. You will be responsible for providing an ingredients list the week before so that Salvation Army can source the food. Activities on the day will also include setting up the dining hall (setting out tables and chairs), washing dishes, clearing dishes and packing down the dining hall.

To register your team please submit this EOI and a Volunteering WA staff member will contact you to lock in your team day. You must have line manager approval to volunteer.
