Please note: This activity is designed for a team with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 40 members - available Tuesday - Fridays. 9.30am-12.30pm

The Mini Farm Project coverts under-utilised spaces into urban farms to grow food for those in need, address the facts that 1 in 6 Australians are faced with food insecurity.

HOW CAN YOUR TEAM MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

By rolling up their sleeves your team will be gardening produce that is freely donated to, Meals on Wheels, food rescue agencies and local charities.

During this corporate volunteering opportunity, team duties will include weeding, cleaning, planting, harvesting and making compost (depending on the needs that day) Followed by lunch and a presentation from the Mini Farm founder Nick.

  • Requirements

    PLEASE BRING:
    - Water Bottle
    - Gardening Gloves

    PLEASE WEAR:
    - Hat, Sunscreen and other appropriate weather protection
    - Comfortable closed in shoes

    TRANSPORT:
    - Transport will be provided upon request.
    - Those who wish to make their own way to the location there is plenty of onsite parking.

    TERMS OF PARTICIPATION:
    Your safety is our priority. By registering for a team volunteering day, you acknowledge that if you are feeling unwell, you will notify your Team Lead and stay at home.

    You will be required to read a Job Hazard Analysis and Run Sheet prior to the team day. This will be sent to you by Volunteering Queensland.
